Increasing importance of ‘Guru’ psalm
By Madhu Nambiar
Sur, Oman; September 8: 20th century witnessed great events in the history of the world. Those revolutionary events gave birth to great leaders.
Virgin soil of Kerala was ploughed by one such epoch making leader - Sree Narayana Guru. He had sown the seeds of social changes, social justice and equalities. His psalm was all human beings remaining free from all chains. Second generation revolutionary and reformist leaders fostered his dictums, which were still relevant in the contemporary world as there was a tendency among the people to retreat to the Dark Age, said Mr. V.K. Joseph, a critic, writer, orator and vice chairman of Kerala Film Academy while delivering Sree Narayana Guru Disclosure at Ras Al Had hall of Sur Plaza Hotel.
