| Michael Mordinson accomponies OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) (www.osce.org) Election observers during the meeting with the Mayor of Kharkov Mr. Mikhail Dobkin. The OSCE is the world''s largest regional security organization whose 56 participating States span the geographical area from Vancouver in Canada to Vladivostok in Russia. |
Michael has assisted long term observers of Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe during the recent Parliament elections in Ukraine. Mordinson meets Kharkov Mayor
The OSCE is a primary instrument for early warning, conflict prevention, crisis management and post-conflict rehabilitation in its area. It has 19 missions or field operations in South-Eastern Europe, Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia.
The Organization deals with three dimensions of security - the politico-military, the economic and environmental, and the human dimension. It therefore addresses a wide range of security-related concerns, including arms control, confidence- and security-building measures, human rights, national minorities, democratization, policing strategies, counter-terrorism and economic and environmental activities. All 56 participating States enjoy equal status, and decisions are taken by consensus on a politically, but not legally binding basis. Mordinson meets Kharkov Mayor
Michael Mordinson: "I must say it was great honour for me to assist such an organization as OSCE, the work they are doing is really important and I am glad I had a chance to help Ukraine grow stronger as a democratic state. The meeting we had with Mayor was most productive and interesting, Mr. Dobkin shared his thoughts and granted the support to the OSCE mission"
