FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Texas City’s Own Jill Eisnaugle Selected as Winner in Hallmark’s “That’s Motherhood!” Greeting Card Contest
Texas City residents can view Eisnaugle’s card online
(Texas City, TX, November 30, 2009) — After challenging consumers to create a Mother’s Day card that makes moms laugh, Hallmark announces 26 winners in the company’s eighth card-creation competition. “That’s Motherhood!” winners include Jill Eisnaugle from
Texas City. The Hallmark competition encouraged consumers to
their designs or photos with a humorous Mother’s Day message
for a mom or a friend who’s a mom. Winners’ cards are being sold online at Hallmarkcontests.com.
“Every mom has moments that make her smile, laugh, roll her eyes or throw up her hands,” said Theresa Murphy, Hallmark associate product manager. “Our winners captured those moments in some pretty creative ways. It made our job tough to choose just 26!”
Hallmark creative staff judged the cards on cohesiveness (how well the image and the message work together), sendability (could be sent by lots of different people), and theme (how well the entry used humor for Mother’s Day).
The 26 winners hail from a variety of locales across the U.S. and Canada, including Texas City. Eisnaugle’s winning card design was a
baby picture of herself, snapped by her exhausted mother as Eisnaugle
was enjoying a “preemie temper tantrum.” For being a winner, Eisnaugle won $250.
Starting Nov. 30, all of the winners’ designs are available for sale online
at Hallmarkcontests.com. Several of the winners’ cards will be selected
for sale in stores for Mother’s Day 2010.
