Hello,
I'm very busy raising an eight year old grandson who has cerebral palsy and is blind in one eye.
I'm editing several novels and have completed two illustrated poetry books. Currently I'm looking for interested publishers.
Would love to keep in touch with everyone who enjoys my poetry but there is never enough time. If you'd like updates on what's going on, you'll find it here.
Love,
Sandy

Hi,
Sorry I've not been very responsive lately--have a lot going on here besides dental surgery :)!
My goal for e-books with Mystic East was to finish six before June 15th (when Doogie gets out of school). As of yesterday, I've met that goal! My first, a reprint of my first hard-copy book, A Little Hope, is now available at Mystic East Publications!
The others (in the order they'll be printed) are:
2) A Touch of the West (cowboys and Indians
3) Funny Flies (funny poems about animals)
4) Wings (in memorium to my son, Doug)
5) Lettuce Dance (funny poems about food)
6) I Found You (inspirational)
I finished 'I Found You' yesterday and am now working on #7, 'Love Is A Rose' (romance). That will be followed by #8, 'Ide Claire' (funny poems about people).
I've illustrated all of them though some have personal photographs too. All run approximately 100 pgs. (of Microsoft Word).
Then, too, a lady gave me over 3 dozen antique dolls (all belonging to her grandmother) dated between the late 1800's and 1910. They are in terrible shape (pieces actually as the mice got to them in her garage) but some are repairable. I've salvaged four so far--trashed the clothes as they were ripped to shreads. But, Al won't tolerate them in his shop forever so I borrowed a book from the library about how to repair broken/shattered shoulder blades :)!
Doogie and I are still doing his homework nightly--but that's cool :)! We hope to find out (July 16th) when Doogie will have an artificial lens put in his right (and left?) eye and 'if' they will be doing a corneal transplant.
Then, Publish America is hoping I'll finish editing "Banjos" (my first novel--a Gothic) and have it to them sometime in September.
So~often when I'm 'not busy' with something else, I'm trying to edit 'Banjos'. It's 455 pages though and I take breaks to work on the e-books or draw.
Love all of my friends and love hearing from you. Please forgive my lack of reply from time to time. It isn't 'you' or 'us' ... it's this 'surge', explosion is more like it, of 'I HAVE to get this together and OUT NOW'. My father kept 'meaning to write' ... but never had anything published with his
My older sister, Helen, kept asking when I'd do my next book. Though she only read the hard copy of 'A Little Hope, I'd like to think she's reading over my shoulder now and again ... and laughing with me. It feels SO~good to laugh, don't you think?
I guess, as the oldest in my family now, though I'm not preoccupied with death, I'm more accutely aware of the lack of guarantees.
Do keep in touch and take care.
Love,
:)Sandy
