Newsletter Dated: 1/14/2003 1:28:36 PMSubject: WEAVINGS FOR JANUARY 2003 Thank you, Robert! WEAVINGS January 14, 2003
Dear Friends, It’s hard to believe that a year has passed since I last wrote to you. Our son, Mac, passed from this life to be with the Lord on February 12, 2002 and the past year has been one of grief and bittersweet memories. We know where Mac is and we know he is waiting to greet us when our lives end. That does not make grieving easier, but it is a comfort nonetheless. I had an episode with my heart in November and there was no fear of death. I knew I would either be with husband, John, or with Mac. Poetry has come, though not easily and not yet with joy. That will come. In the past month or so I have begun once more to tend to the business end of writing. The agent relationship with AD did not produce any responses, so I am in the process of looking for another literary agent. What a difficult process! I am concentrating on SPLINTERS OF LIGHT and CARNIVORE, but have printed out two or three children’s story booklets to share with the kids at the Day School. I will list them at the end of this letter if anyone is interested. I have been enjoying my Graphire CAD PAD and using it to illustrate the books. It is an amazing tool. If you are familiar with my poetry on AD you have seen graphics generated with it above my poetry. I would still like to find someone to collaborate on my book, REFLECTIONS ON THE CAROUSEL, although I am slowly getting some illustrations done for it. My nephew, Les Booth, is coming down tomorrow to help me get started in Dreamweaver so I can keep my web pages up to date. If I just didn’t have to work, I’d get more done! To top it all off, I have my MIDI system up and am learning slowly how to compose on it. If anyone would like a sample, let me know. I hope this past year has been one of growth and joy for you all and I promise to keep weaving now that I’m back at the loom!
