This is me...coming to you from...no NOT "ze Bunny Hut"
(I WISH!), but here in sunny, warm Florida!

Just wanted to say hello dahlinks and hope you have a vunderful and festive month! This is ze Count, Marquis's and I's favorite for sure! Just wanted to let you know what I will be up to, and please, please let me hear what castle partay's you will be crashing this month as well!

First mucho, mucho thanks to my favorite Floridian English teacher, the handsome, sexy, poetic and single, Joe Cramer who had me this past week at his new school where he is teaching this year, Jeb Stuart Middle School, for a day of reading and lecturing. What fun and thanks awfully my pet! My fellow Warsaw friends - picture Mr. Musgrave 30 years ago. Handsome, great ties, nice jackets, Loves shakespeare, a stupendous teacher who cares and loves his students! History repeats itself! I know I must stop it before I get excited ....down girl, down girl you are married!

Thanks also and always to Keith, Lisa, Pam, Misty, Ruth, Terry, Sonya, Gary, Deb and all of my other beloved who have really stayed in touch lately! You are my rocks! You make me laugh! I love you all!

Ok, here's October in a nutshell! If you are in the North Florida area PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE COME TO ANY AND ALL EVENTS! We have a lot of fun things coming up, so stay tuned as well!

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 3RD - 06:30 PM
Florida Writer's Association Meeting - Come to ze Mandarin Library off Kori Rd. This is our LAST meeting before the Convention. Here some updates! Also WIN some prizes. This month I am having a free drawing for two Home and Patio show tickets and two Southern Women Show tickets. Our THEME for this month also is - "Other Cool Places To Have Booksigning Events"
So come check it out.

Come to Barnes and Nobles for Creative Writing Class. The newly published Ruth Barnaby will be there to give us "The Bottom Line" and come and read your latest projects.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8TH - 07:00 PM
Come back to Barnes and Nobles again for Short Story Writers Group and bring your stories, novels, poems, carmel apples, candy, whatever you want. We will all love to devour whatever you bring!

OCTOBER 17 - 20 - SOUTHERN WOMEN'S SHOW - JACKSONVILLE

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 22ND - 07:00 PM
It's time for class again at Barnes and Nobles - Ok it's time to start buckling down and getting those Christmas Stories started for the Christmas Story Contests that are happening! The holidays are comin' baby so let's get ready to make us some Christmas cash!

OCTOBER 25 - 27TH - FLORIDA WRITERS ASSOCIATION ANNUAL CONVENTION IN ORLANDO
Yeah! It is finally here! I will be doing a book signing at the Hilton on Sunday 10/27/02 from 1 - 5 pm after the convention. Please say a prayer that both "Fly" and "Passing Thoughts" win a Florida Palm Award - both have been entered in the contest! Keep thy little fingers and toes crossed for moi.

Ok, kiddies in a nutshell that is the biggie events - In November look for the release of "Open Mic Jacksonville" for which moi is the Executive Director. That will be exciting for the holidays! I will have NEW poems in this book and also our favorite "Yvette" (aka Lauryn) has also been chosen to be in it as one of our young entries! So guess what you all are getting for Christmas from me? (Oh Lord, another damn book they are saying!) Absolutely! God love ya!!
