Can you believe it? It's October! Moi has been Christmas shopping this past weekend. Just getting started, but oy veh!! Usually, I'm about done by now, but that is the way it goes!!

I just wanted to say "hello dahlinks" and that I love and miss you all! I am so glad that September is behind us, God knows what lies before us in the next few days, weeks, months, but let's not forget how much we love and need each other NOW!! I pray for peace and happiness for you and yours!!

WHAT'S HAPPENING???

Moi is still being pushy and bitchy hoping to get "Passing Thoughts" out by Christmas, at least the Premiere Party, but that is beginning to also become a "Passing Thought" I am afraid. Yes, we've hit a snag in the writing road again kids, but please pray for an early 2002 release date. Neighborhood Press is very busy and behind on promoting books they should have been promoting in August/September and haven't even got around to moi yet, so whatever. I'm trying to be patient, but most of you know me and patience...NOT!!!

I'm also anxiously waiting being on ze radio again with the Justice Coalition and writing for them as their new staff writer, HOPEFULLY starting for sure in the November issue. One Victim's Voice: United We Stand you can read here on my Author's Den site. I did submit that article though for their October issue.

A "fer sure" event is me at the Mandarin Library during Teen Awareness Month for a lecture on writing both "Fly", "Passing Thoughts", freelancing, etc. This will be on Thursday, October 18th at ze Mandarin Library branch on Kori Road. Moi will be there from 7 -8:00 pm, please come and see me if you are in the hood!

Wednesday, October 24th I will be doing my usual corruption of young minds at Barnes and Nobles of Mandarin for my Young Adult Creative Writing Class - starting at 7:00 pm. Please send your young and tender laurettes. I love to hear their stuff!! We have a lot of contests coming up they will want to hear about!!

We did not go to Mexico in September due to the WTC crisis situation. I just did not feel real snuggy about getting into a plane during that week and flying off to a foreign country, so we have cancelled that to a later date! In fact, I have not felt real brave about flying anywhere again lately, so all of my out of town escapades, at least for now, are on hold!

It is October and don't forget all of my little bats and vampires to GIVE BLOOD instead of taking it. Please visit ze blood banks! Blood is always in need! It is a gift of life, so do your little trick and treat yourself to donating!!
