Good afternoon fellow readers and writers


Have I got a tale for you today. The last time I talked to everyone I was pulling by books from Writers Exchange.
Well, I did it, I pulled everyone of them, ten romances and two children's books. And have I got news for you...
yes I have. In three months I've sold all of them to new publishers and another book to boot.

Now I know that sounds just a tad amazing, but it really isn't that amazing. And I'll tell you why. When you been in this business this long and know people, it isn't as hard to sell as it was.

Granted I didn't sell to Samhain, or Mundania Press who have already established themselves in the ebook industry. I sold to two different new comers and there is a good reason I picked these two out. Reason one, Desert Breeze Publishing and Class Act Books have owners that have been through enough to know the ropes of this industry. They both want better, and that's what I seek. Go getters, owners of publishing companies who will get out there and get noticed and do things to promote and keep the author's names alive and moving. Both Gail Delaney from Desert Breeze and Bev Haynes from Class Act Books are savvy
publishers. They know what needs to be done and are willing to do it.


But now let me tell you what is amazing. Since my books have been around a while, I had them, and I do repeat, I had them on over 300 sites. Most of which I put up myself, discounting distributors and the biggies.
I was up on that many sites with ten romances floating all over the net and two childrens books. What is amazin is that i took most of it down too. Yes me.
I contacted the owners of sites to have them taken down.
And that is no easy task. It took a while, and there are still remanents of my books in places.

Why did I leave the old publisher. Because I lost faith in getting sales there and the publisher was inactive as far as promoting me or anyone else. IT's time to leave when that happens. I was buried in mult
genre's too and romance needs to be with a romance publisher. Now I am.

Am I hapy? Yes, so far, so good. But I think in today's ever changing market, one has to stay on top of things and if necessary leave a house. Sometimes leaving does more good than harm.

You'll notice I have all new covers now. Yes, I do.
The only ones that won't change are my prints at Publish America.

A word about Publish America. I do not like the high cost of the books there, it's high for me too. But, I do like the product from them. They do produce a good book, one a writer can be proud of. IF they can afford to buy the book, themselves. But again, writers have to go into this business knowing something about it. And you need to go into it with the idea of what you want out of it.
