First prize in poetry
Puisse la paix régner dans le monde
TATOMIR ION MARIUS

Dreaming – A Love poem from the collection
“Life is a dream” – Pirandello
Often I think I am dreaming
but awaken to find all is real,
to be with you a joy beyond dreaming,
together, in harmony to feel,
for one’s life is like a dream
in which one often awakes
in many different times and places
so that one must just trust to the flow
of its events, as they come and go,
guided by Muses, Graces, Guardian Angels!

SKY TEAR
Robert Victor (Bob) Schweitzer
A tear falls from the sky
No one bothers to wonder why
It’s just I guess, passing by
This lonely tear from the sky
Splashes softly on the ground
It splatters but it makes no sound
No one even looks around
And if they did, what would be found?
Oh I don’t know, but there might be
A realization of the history
Taking place while so many bleed
It’s all around, this killing need
I think He may just shake His head
So many creations, laying dead
They could have saved the world instead
Now they just lay full of lead
I will listen to the tear
I think I’ll stop and shed one here
Now it seems so strangely queer
That this world is so full of fear
A tear falls
From the sky
And no one bothers
To wonder why

LÁGRIMA CELESTIAL
Robert Victor (Bob) Schweitzer
Translation by Maria Cristina Azcona
Escucharé a esa lágrima
Me detendré y lloraré.
Porque ahora todo es tan extraño
Este mundo pleno de miedo y daño.
Una lágrima cayó
Desde el cielo llegó
Y nadie quiere saber por qué
Ni tampoco lo quiere ver.
