Well, whoever said that spoken word poetry, blues, African dance, R&B, and hiphop couldn't exist in the same place did NOT come to Webb Wednesday last night! Thanks to all the love and support, our first Webb Wednesday was a true success with over 50 attendees and a incredible lineup of performers. Thanks goes out to Scott Albert Johnson, Brian Coleman, the Kuumba African Dance and Drum Co., Donovan Scott, Poetry July, Duane Scott, Mr. Sawed-Off, and Next of Kindredz for an awesome night. I also want to thank everyone who joined us, including the Jackson MS Readers Club, Renee Shakespeare of the Drinking Gourd on WMPR 90.1 FM, Santiagos, and Mr. C-Lecta our DJ from WMPR 90.1 FM. Due to the positive feedback, December's WEBB WEDNESDAY is already being planned and you know you will hear it first through this newsletter.
