I am both humbled and thankful to everyone who made "FIRE AND ICE" a success at the Smith Robertson Museum on Saturday, November 27, 2004.
First, a BIG thank you goes out to the City of Jackson and Smith Robertson Museum (namely Pam Junior, Manager and Gregory Jones, Curater) for making this event possible. Also big thanks to Misha Wilson and David Stafford of Majic 100.9 FM, Mitch Davis, Minnie Mae Johnson and Tyberious Lypsey for your love and support. I look forward to the next five months being just as spectacular!
To all the performers (Kuumba African Dance and Drum Co., Jack-town Ballers, Poetry July, Donovan Scott, Duane Scott, Sho, and La Dutch), thank you for sharing your gifts with all of us. We were all blessed by you.
And last but certainly not least, to the almost 70 individuals (including Jacqueline Samuels of One Life, Inc. and Vernon Moore of With Us Records), that made up our audience: All of this would not even be possible without you. The next program is slated for Saturday, December 11, 2004, and I am convinced that the best is still yet to come.
