In July 2004, C. A. Webb announced the formation of the Margaret Webb Sims Creative Arts Foundation. The Foundation's purpose is to award junior high and high school students who have a love for the arts through an annual essay contest that will give away over $1000 annually.
In addition to students being recognized, C. A. Webb,Inc. and the Margaret Webb Sims Creative Arts Foundaiton wanted to recognize one individual each year that demonstrated what living the Arts really means by giving them an award of excellence as well as $100.00 cash. To this effect, the first Award of Excellence was awarded to Eka Sreym for his forming the Lyric Lounge this year which has spawned three poetry venues in 2004. On behalf of C. A. Webb and the Margaret Webb Sims Creative Arts Foundation, we honor Eka Sreym for his continued role in keeping the Arts alive.
