Well, well, well...
You would never believe who is back and ready to rumble--- with the arts, that is.
Yes, it's C. A. Webb and Shadow Play Entertainment. Here to tell you about a great event going on this weekend. One we didn't really talk about too much until we were sure that 1) it would happen this time and ) all of our ducks were lined up.
You are cordially invited to "EMANCIPATION: Free To Be." This is will take place on Saturday, May 21, 2005 at the Jackson Medical MAll center stage area. It is hosted by C. A. Webb and will include entertainment for the entire family. Performers include Big Ladon, Duane Scott, Yaya, Sho(?), Ashley Erving, Queen Fokus, Ken Stiggers, Divine Inspirations and others! Featured performers are SOULS THAT FALL and DeMetrius Smith of the MS Mass Choir.
Door prizes include 2 drawing for $50.0 each. FREE FOOD AND DRINKS will be provided. Local vendors on location, with spots still available for $30 each.
Doors open at 5:30p.m.. Open mic at 6p.m. (must sign up by 5:45p.m.), and the concert begins at 7p.m. (Ads have been sold for the souvenir book that will be distributed, with some sizes still available.)
Tickets are $10.00 in advance and $15 at the door. Advance tickets are available at SHADOW PLAY inside the Jackson Medical Mall in front of Cellular Connection.
