Just a few quick notes as we get ready to go into a new week of activities:
* I will be at Peeples Middle School in Jackson, MS on Thursday, February 16th from 9:30-11:30a.m. I will be speaking to the school about my organization, how to identify what you want out of life and take their questions. My artwork will be on display during this time--- something that has been missing for almost a year from my public appearances--- and I will be taking questions from the faculty and students. The principal has informed me that this event is open to the public, and we will have a televison crew there as well.
* Then on Friday, February 17th I will have two appearances.
The first will be at Pecan Park Elementary in Jackson, MS. I will be there from 9-11a.m. with artwork on display and discussing the importance of reading, writing and exploring your full potential. This event will also be open to the public and will be taped as well.
The second event of the day will be my performing some of my poetry at the MS State Hospital during their Black History Month celebration. Again my artwork will be on display. This will be at 1p.m. until about 2:30p.m. This event is also open to the public.
* There is new poetry posted on this site. Some have written me complaining that my new poem "No Samaritan" is about them. YOU FLATTER YOURSELF. It's not. I always think it's funny that people read themselves so often into my poetry and stories. I guess something must be hitting them close to home--- in their minds, that is. Not mine.
* BIG ANNOUNCEMENT. This week I was contacted by Bill Will "The Scorpion King", publisher of the internationally known magazine WORLDWIDE WESTSIDE MAGAZINE (www.wwsmag.com). He wants to come aboard as a sponsor for my upcoming "Free2Flow Summit" that will be on Saturday, April 8th in Jackson, MS. That is huge for us.
