Newsletter Dated: 7/31/2006 9:05:53 PMSubject: July--- A Month in Review
Hello all!
I know I haven't been very "vocal" this month, but to be honest with you I have been so busy that the time I do have free is spent planning the next move.
Thanks to all of you---both near and abroad---July was another month of successes for me and the organization that bears my name.
The 1st Annual Arts in the Park event hosted by Building Bridges Inc. was extraordinary. The press was incredible and we were able to raise awareness for an important cause!
Likewise, the first official meeting of the Rankin County Arts Alliance was also a triumph. In literally two weeks we gained over a dozen new members, with a goal of 100 members by September 1st being more attainable by the day.
The Tobacco-Free Summer Camp hosted by the Partnership for a Healthy Rankin County was another feather in our cap this month. We had over 100 students register with knowledge being shared as well as some fun times experienced by all present.
The partnership with Books2Mention Magazine continues, so make sure to visit there and read the CONVERSATIONS SECTION. With that being said, look for the interviews for the August issue of the Conversations zine to be loaded in the next day or two.
And the website? www.cawebb.com had 7645 hits for the month of July, meaning almost 247 hits a day. Good, but the ambitious goal of August is 10,000 hits!!!
Don't forget to visit www.free2flow.com as we nail down the remaining plans for the 1st Mississippi's Best Awards.
None of this would be possible without your help.
