For those who are serious about living the James Bond lifestyle, here's some important advice.

Gene Hackman told this story on TV:

"When I was starting out as an actor I was a friends house when he recieved a call from Tyrone Power. After talking awhile my friend handed me the phone and said,'Do you want to talk to him?' I said, 'Mr. Power I'm trying to be an actor do you have any advice?' Power said, 'The important thing is how you handle your women.'"

This advice seems off the subject. But when you think about it, many men's careers have been hurt or advanced by the women they have relationships with and marry. It also seems,after researching numerous biographys, that men that are driven by love and sex prosper. But men that are driven by sex alone foul up their careers.

A key word in Tyrone Power's advice is "handle". Yes, it's important to enjoy the exciting ride of a love relationship. But if it starts to go in a direction that is destructive for you, it needs to be "handled" (in a positive way), instead of just letting it destroy your dreams.

So a man who is serious about his career and lifestyle (women too), should always remember Tyrone Power's advice when chosing dates and mates. Bond always seems to know what he's doing in that regard.
