Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote daily.

The good news is that the Pet Parenting School achieved a final ranking of #179 which was way up the ladder but unfortunately not good enough to go to the next round - - and since we did not reach #1 we did not get the grant.

So, I will be working on some other avenues for funding for the course while also working on the first phase.

My mastermind group came up with some great ideas and so I think I have a new avenue to pursue a phased program that will help pets and pet parents at any stage of their relationship.

Locally, we got our first snow on the 30th of October. I can't say that I am ready for winter but here it is!

I've had some trouble with the websites at the server and so was unable to post for the last week or so.

Hopefully that will be fixed shortly.

My recovery is going well. I still am working to build up my strength and stamina but it is so good to be able to function again.

The big news is that my sister went to get checked for similar symptoms (plus some) and they found she had two tumors around her pituitary.

She survived the brain surgery and is doing well.

Unlike me, she had a rare metabolic disease and the operation was a success because it was caught so early - - but it was a very stressful month and to say that I was a mess emotionally was an understatement.

2. Discussion for the Month
===============================================
Thanks to all of you who applied for the Animal Career Coaching beta program.

The successful applicants have been notified and we will begin work shortly.

I have a very big name from the animal field scheduled for an interview this week and am excited about the others who are coming forward to share their sage advice.

The nice thing about having been in my field a long time (and being diversified in different areas of it) is that I have a lot of contacts to utilize in addition to my own experiences and expertise.

In addition to the beta program for animal careers, I am working on preliminary curriculum for the Pet Parenting School and will have a 30 day introductory phase to test with those who choose to participate.

There will be some changes over on the blogs as I'll be revamping just when and where I post and moving to a premium content model (paid) for some of the email lists and blogs.

The modest fees will cover the costs of maintaining the lists and the blogs.

Since a large number of you indicated that you want more frequent contact via email, I am working out ways to make that happen by 2011.

Keep your eyes open for that announcement!
