Yikes! Is it really June? This year is going by quickly and the weather certainly has us all guessing. We finally had some warmer weather and then, BAM! We got snow and then a short tease of warmth before Memorial Day Weekend got cold and windy.

Why I was shocked was no mystery since every time I plan a yard sale the weather gets cold and wet. LOL Guess I am not supposed to do such things.

For the record, I survived my trip up North with
my sister and brother. My nephews kept me jumping and
we caught a frog, watched the tadpoles, kept our eyes on the wild turkeys and learned some sign language. The boys are 17 months and 3 years of age so it was entertaining.

The trip was hard due to the long travel days plus I got
poison oak just in time for the return home. Seriously,
the only time I have ever developed a case of the stuff has been from animals - - and my dog nephew, Teigh - go shared this dose. Fortunately, I only had it on my arms and legs - - usually I get it on my face from smooching and rubbing my face in the fur. Guess I should count myself as lucky.

Speaking of pets, I am looking for footage for the pet parenting school tutorials so if you have any pet problems and a video camera - - you might want to take advantage of the casting call due to go out this month. Keep it in mind.

Remember the themes of the week I mentioned last month?
People submitted a few and so now I'll be posting them over on the Facebook community page for people to vote on. If you haven't popped over, it is a bit different. I like when people share their pictures of their pets.

Which reminds me...we are working on a blog book tour. Do you have any blogs to suggest? It looks like August or so for that to happen.

Finally, Many of you have seen me on Weird, True & Freaky and I find it funny that just about everyone I know has seen me in that series. I may be on another Discovery show and should find out soon - - you'll
be the first to know about it that's for sure.

Okay, so this month I need your help...

Some of you have been with me since 2004 and so know that I've changed up the mailing service a couple of times. The newsletter has also changed quite a bit. In the past, many of you also participated in a poll to let me know what you are most interested in. So, I am going to ask you again!

You'll need to pick the topic you are MOST interested in. At the moment this community is a mix of animal career seekers, animal professionals, and people who are interested in pet behavior training & wild animal training. I've covered a wide range of topics over the years but need to get back on track with those that I most enjoy and that are most useful to YOU.

The cost to subscribe to each one will vary according to the content and frequency. So keep your eyes open. Don't worry, the monthly newsletter will still be delivered but is also targeted for change based on your feedback. Some of you wanted more frequent updates and doing a premium option will make that happen.

Animal Career Coaching
My animal career students in the beta session are out job hunting now. I have to consolidate a few things and will be opening the doors again in the near future. If you are serious about an animal career, this is a good basic group opportunity to explore how to go about it and get some of the resources you will need to make
it happen.

The beta group had the opportunity of having me ask questions of industry leaders in the job fields they were interested in. Nothing like having your questions given to the top people in the industry. As for me, I loved the exchange with the students and other industry professionals. I am not sure how I will handle the next round of applications but I am only going to accept a limited number of people. The price will be more than the beta program too. Look for news on this later in the summer.
