My YA novel, Walk Softly and Watch Out for Bigfoot is now out in paperback from Hard Shell Word Factory, and is also available at Amazon.com. It's a story that answers the question, "Can a girl from New York survive her trip to the Oregon wilderness and her encounters with bears, soap-opera stars, and the mysterious Bigfoot?"
Review:
"Ann Herrick delivers a story of culture clash, family interactions, wilderness adventure, and an environmental theme of protecting ancient forests, all with laugh-out-loud humor and characters you'll long remember."

Here's a yummy book-related recipe:
Mile-High Strawberry Pie
1 (10 oz.) package of frozen strawberries
1 cup sugar
2 egg whites
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon salt
½ cup whipping cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 ready-made graham cracker crust
Fresh strawberries
Place defrosted strawberries, egg whites, lemon juice and salt in large bowl of electric mixer. Beat at medium speed for 15 minutes, or until mixture is stiff and holds its shape. Whip cream until stiff. Add vanilla, then fold into strawberry mixture. Pile lightly into graham cracker crust. Freeze several hours or overnight. To serve, garnish with fresh strawberries.
Enjoy!
