Happy 4th of July weekend,

I hope each of you had a fun holiday or better yet, are still having fun with family and/or friends. We can see a little bit of the fireworks from our screened - in back porch. It is so peaceful there and it was a lovely evening.

Odds and ends of the writing world keep me hopping as I await my proof pages. A couple days ago I had an interview for a story regarding the nomination of U.S. Lt. Gen. Ann E. Dunwoody to a 4 - Star General and what it represents or might represent for the role of women in the U.S. military. The interview was with El Periódico, Barcelona, Spain's leading newspaper. I also discussed the general situation for U.S. military women today.

I'm not sure when this story will be published or whether it will appear in a printed edition or in the online edition, but if it does, I'll let you know.
