Spring and Summer bring modified activity to Author’s Castle. Soft winds, gentle rain, warm sunshine and cheerful plants beckon. With the season, home repairs summon and travel lures. Yet, writing continues although somewhat sporadically. For those of you that have a yen for poetry. GRAND ISLAND SENIOR HIGH HALL OF HONOR

The Grand Island Senior High Hall of Honor (Nebraska) has sent a tentative Schedule of Events for the Induction: Thursday, October 22, 2009, Heartland Event’s Center, 6:00 p.m. Banquet and Friday October 23, 2009, Class Visits at Grand Island Senior High. If you are in the area and would like to attend, please submit your name and address to me before the last week in August. My inclusion is a high honor for it is where the seeds were planted for my writing career today. In addition, I again thank two subscribers who nominated me, Carolyn E. Guenther Kuehner, wife of cousin, William V. Kuehner and Nancy L. Craft Kuehner, wife of cousin, Richard L. Kuehner.

Writing activities for the induction include composing a biographical sketch of accomplishments and forwarding any photographs, awards or articles that tell about my writing career along with a short narrative about each item.

AMAZON AUTHOR PAGES

A number of months ago, I signed up on Google to have them let me know "as it happens" when my name appears on the Internet. Yesterday, Google sent me what they call a "Web Alert" as follows:
"Visit Amazon.com's Rosemarie Skaine Page and shop for all Rosemarie Skaine books and other Rosemarie Skaine related products (DVD, CDs, Apparel)." When I went to the page, I found all of my books listed and a link to follow if I wished, as the author, to post a photo and biography. I don't know how new this feature is, but I had not heard of it. Any subscribers that are also authors may want to check out this Amazon feature.
