In My Prayer of Silence

A slightly sad poem. Sometimes a little prayer helps when you feel down and out.

In My Prayer of Silence

In My Prayer of Silence,
among your angels I wish to soar.

The place without violence,
where freed souls dance forever more.

I would be without sin,
and give myself wholly to serve you.

If only your forgiveness I could win,
before my time here is through.

But why do I not do this now,
to give up my darkish life and be as a Priest?

Though I do write to you anyhow,
as well as pray once in a while at least.

At times I look up at the sky,
gaining a feeling of warmth and peace.

Away from me my demons fly,
and the storm within me begins to cease.
