In two gardens, one Adam failed; the other Adam,Jesus Christ, prevailed.

The Gardens

Two gardens, equal in God's sight, vital to His plan

Of  life, here, and hereafter for man.

Pleasing to the eye, like the fruit

The first Adam chose to eat

Against his Father's will.

Down, man spiraled from that forbidden treat!

Look! See the second Adam, bowed in Gethsemane,

Praying to the Father for the world, for you, for me.

In the beauty of Eden, the first Adam failed,

But oh! in the Garden of Gethsemane,

Jesus, the second Adam, prevailed!

Excellent poem.
I agree - 2nd Adam is definitely food for thought...

God loves gardens and so do I!
From Eden to Gethsemane
garden in a part of man's destiny!
Nice piece of work, Barbara!

I've never thought of Him as a second Adam but it's a pretty cool thought.

Love ya!

I'm so glad Jesus, the second Adam, prevailed.
