Leaves
It's fall outside with a cool fresh breeze,
Leaves are falling from the trees.
Rake the leaves into a pile,
The children are watching with a cute little smile.
Catch the glimmer in the childrens eyes,
They know they're cute, they think they're sly.
They watch as I rake, pile one, pile two,
I know exactly what they're going to do.
As I turn my head they run and jump,
Jump in the piles and mess them up.
I hand them the rake and watch for awhile,
It's my turn now as I give them a smile.
Pile one, pile two, pile number three,
Come on kids jump with me.
We sat there laughing, having such fun,
Now it's time we get the job done.
The raking is finished, we had fun today,
This moment we had, forever will stay.
