This poem emerged from a combination of experiences in NZ and my daughter's farm in northern Victoria (Australia).

Bridal Veil
by Denise Nowakowski
A bridal veil of morning mist
surrounds the tresses of a willow tree
and on the ledge a slender form -
It's you! The bride to be...
reflected gently back in me.
Its crystal droplets softly fall
to cloak the past which you recall -
In loving rainbow arms to wrap
your heart in peace and sheltered space
until - at last, your soul mate calls.
The sun rejoices, as the mist
the rainbow drops disperse, then, flow
with every sigh of summer breeze
to join the stream that moves along
reflecting love from him to thee.
