I am a Palliative Care Volunteer and wrote this poem after the death of one of my patients, for the person who was caring for him till the very end.

Tomorrow
What happened in the yesterdays of our life
I will remember forever.
We had sadness and we had fun,
We had many hours of joy and pleasure.
The yesterdays are past and gone
Just like the changeable thoughts in your head,
Just like the ache in your bones
And the gallons of tears we shed.
Today I love you as I always did
In our days together.
Today I live with you at my side
Because you'll always be there.
My love, your life has expired,
But mine will continue till it's time for me to go.
Today is here, the rest will eventually transpire,
And one day, like everything else, I too, will go.
What tomorrow brings I don't know,
Except, that it is up to me
To make the best I know how.
I love you my darling, and I let you go.
It's time to live again
And look forward to tomorrow,
And I believe
There will be lots of happy tomorrows.

Hello Denise,
Very sad but also true. Life, love, and death come to us and we need to accept it...as this poem concludes.

Denise,
I have chills reading your heart through the words of your poem.
This is a sacral feeling to love like this, letting go embraces love
until your time to meet once more.
Carry these memories & this sacral love forever within the sanctions of your heart to know the power of love's divinity & joy
Much Love To You Always
