And so, I didn’t trust you,
Like I should.
Like I would.
Had I only been in right standing,
With you.

You asked me to be still.
Yet, I raged on,
Battling in wars that weren’t my own.
Fighting fights that I had no business fighting.
And I lost.

Lost it all.
And now, as I crawl on my knees,
Defeated by myself,
My one true enemy,
You only want me to trust you.

Trust you, once again,
Now and forever.

Very well written, trust is an important part of a relionship, a must if one's relationship is to grow and flourish...when that is lost so will the relationship decay...beautiful write.
