Finding the words this Valentine Day

has never been easier.

You are the light that shines through my soul

the friend that has always been there

giving me your shoulder to cry on

always listening to my tears of joy

and my tears of sorrow.

I write to you this special day

wanting to show you how I truly feel.

I’m not one to whisper sweet nothings

nor proclaim my love on top of a hill.

You are always with me

mind, body and soul.

All I need do is close my eyes

feel your arms wrap around me

letting the chill flow from my head to my toes

feel the warmness of your lips

pressing against mine

and I know I’m not alone.

Through all these years

there has never been a better time
