You hurt me
Deep within my soul
Lies, pain, fear and joy
Things I don't even know
What you see is normal
What I feel is hidden
But when you force my hand
It is then I know I can
Reach deep down and grab
That which makes it clear
The pain you elicit is numb
A way for you to see me tears,
my fears
The many times your touch reached my heart like a gun

| Patricia, what a powerful line: The many times your touch reached my heart like a gun. You create a wonderful contrast by using gentle words to describe your pain created by an abuser. Good writing. peace Gisele |
