My amusing attempt at a country song which would need a few more verses (smile).
|
I couldn't belive you left at night
and you even took ol'e Spike
but what about
what about me
I think about you day and night
and sometimes about ol'e Spike
but mostly, mostly about me
Oh Spike, my darling, where are you
How could you leave me too
Leave me to wonder
Why me
You used to say you left the others
Cuz you preferred not to be smothered
but how could that apply to me
I found the bills and the letters
Received the calls from the debtors
and wondered
Why me
Oh Spike, my darling, where are you
How could you leave me too
Leave me to wonder
Why me
I tracked you down and finally found
He'd taken you to the pound
But now
Now your with me

What a sad poem. Poor you--poor Spike. It would be interesting why HE came back to you.
