A Heart's Solace

Within
Muscles and blood
Holds the key
To my love

Within me
Holds my emotions
My reason to give
And the joy that I give and receive

Within my heart
I have found solace
Tranquility
A place where no other has been

Is it a wall?
I put up
Barricaded from hurt and pain
A place where only a true love will find

No longer
Do I second guess?
Stress
Because I am truly blessed

To have felt love
Tasted love
Embraced it
And seen what true love can be

When I feel
Negativity
I close up my heart
And go to my place of serenity

And there I am one
With my precious God
And there
I can confide in him and look to him for the answers I desire

Love is like a rollercoaster
It's ups and downs
Like a merry go round
Sending my mind and heart on a journey

Behind 4 walls
A heart cries
Whispers of desires
And reassures me that love will be fine
