Slow Me Down

Lord, ease my pounding heart

By the quieting of my mind.

Steady my hurried pace with a vision

Of your eternal light of time.

Give me, amid the confusion of the day,

The calmness of your everlasting embrace.

Break the tensions of my nerves and muscles

With your soothing songs that live in memory.

Slow me down, Lord.
