Through the Looking Glass
 
Looks in the mirror
Hates what she sees
The prism of age
Taken center stage.
 
Beauty inside
Tucked deeply away
Buried with the past
She continues to fade.
 
Hair of auburn brown
A beautiful smile
Trying her best to look
Like a clown.
 
Afraid to release
An inner beauty
She’s out of control
Botox, oversold.
