It’s the middle of the night and once again I cannot sleep.
I try to dismiss my worry but the trouble runs too deep.
Shall I wait until tomorrow, no, my plea to You won’t keep,
I need You! I need You!

My sister is so very ill, in which You are aware,
And if You’ll pardon me the pun, she doesn’t have a prayer.
I want to ask the question but I don’t know if I dare…
To request of You, what You can do

Is there even the slightest possibility that her health You would restore,
Cause I’m constantly hearing people say You don’t do that anymore.
And if that really is the case then why am I praying for?
To ask of You…,what You can do?

I have preached so many sermons from the gospels I have read.
How You healed and cleansed the lepers and rose Lazarus from the dead,
Through the power of Your Spirit, merely by the words that You said,
She needs You, to get her through……..
