another experiment of mine...
Above is a picture of the piece...below is the text.
It is written as a concrete or visual poem, a style of verse that creates an image upon the page. These pieces tend to be abstract, but what I attempted was to keep substance within the form.

The Alabaster Cup

What a glorious, sultry night!
Heat lingers from the sun’s caress
And beads of sweat glisten like dewdrops
And here we together lay, breast to breast,
Lips poised to sip of starlight skies and drink
Deep of the evening mists from the moons
Alabaster cup, each contemplating strategies
To overcome the remaining barriers of air
And denim, seeking in each other’s soul
A needed libation from the spring
Of Eros to quench
Burning thirsts
Of need
Of want
In sweet
Nectars whose
Savor is known only
To lovers such as you and I.

I love visual poetry and have experimented with a few of my own. I love the challenge of not only finding the right words and combinations of words, but to then fit it all together in a visually artistic way. You have done a beautiful job here, but I am not surprised as you always produce fine, fine work.

Erny, You old rascal, this is so good and different that even for you, it is outstanding!
I'm really at a loss for words doing it justice.
So, I'll drink to this unique and wonderful form of liquid poetry! ! !
