Life is always better with us in it.

Life once seemed auspicious
Lies made me suspicious
Suspicion took my trust
Turned a heart to just
An oasis changed to dust

I viewed our love prodigious
Until words became malicious
Malice was the need
Turned my world to seed
Planted by your greed

Hurt and all rejection
Viewed without perception
Perceives a chance to cope
Provided with all hope
Swinging from a rope

When you think you know someone, they can surprise you with aspects of them that were long hidden. Great poem with a dramatic ending.

Mercy. Shouldn't this be listed under 'horror'. Once trust is lost, nothing else really matters does it? Well done.

This is a sad note of thought. But one that is felt apparently by the producer of the words. I pray your hurt passes quickly and the scars are shallow and pale. ~SH~
