Critique of politics in America.

The Political Game

Impassioned rhetoric ends
With banners swaying in unison
Signaling a new dawn - a new day
And a chicken in every pot.

Right is left and left is right
Leaving constituents to ponder
The reality of their discontent
In terms of freedom and security.

Unrealized expectations falter
With fragile bonds between the aisle
Snapping like so many ice-laden twigs
By unchecked rumor and innuendo.

Politicos adept in the rule of law
And shielded by that very system
Prognosticate for the daily cause-celeb
Or quid-pro-quo for the privilege.

The political game plays out
As a test of the true nature of power
For control of hearts and minds
Of those who would be led.

Excellent work that hit the nail on the head!

"The Political Game" tells me to read THE CONSTITUTION OF USA, and to tell the PLUTOCRATIC CLUB "NO" to its control of the GOP and DP; that it is time for AMERICANS to read the CONSTITUTION OF USA, and stop the TOLERANCE; that OMISSION is CRIME; that we must respect and OBEY our MAGNA LAW.

Thank You, Poet for igniting the DYNAMO of PATRIOTISM.

In respect and gratitude,

EW, it's hell to think it's only a game. I think you
covered all the bases. But, fool that I am, I look for
more that the expected. Good one. -gene.
