Shut My Ears
In the peaceful moment of tonight,
A scream, a shout, shut my ears.
Those screams, the voices,
Sound familiar.
I turn and look back, and I see
I see the eyes of yours,
How dear you are to me.
Yet tonight you tear
All words from my heart.
Don't you know how dear are your support to me.
In the peaceful moment of tonight,
A tear, a sob, down my cheeks.
Those tears, the sobs,
I thought you've never known.
I turn and look back, and I see
I see the tears in your eyes,
How dear I am to you.
Yet tonight my tears
Hurt you more than any knife.
Don't you know how dear you are to us, babe.
I may not have shown,
Keeping smile on the face.
Yet every presence of yours
Sweet to our minds.
We meant to encourage you,
Guiding you to the right.
As I grow I become understand,
All your words are wisdom.
Yet my heart can't help
But remember those harsh words.
They frozen my heart, my feelings.
They frozen the heat and desire of my mind.
