She waited once more for the result

Just as promised it always arrives
Never failing her and always taunting
She’s not sure what makes her continue to try
He seemed odd, so strange yet true
Supported for weeks her despair and cries
So she stayed the night and thought one more try
Never fails that somehow they deceive
Only sexual desire and friendship, please
She gives up on waging her own little war
That will never be anything she is looking for
No one is enough to satisfy her, nor able
She’s demanding and difficult, but more than capable
But it’s a long drawn out search just to see
That there was not anyone meant for thee
Spent and disgusted at the years of abuse
Promised the stars and the heavens just to get through
But the paint of the sky peels and slowly fades
Revealing the truth of the words used in play
She sets off now to forget and consume
Leaving love for the dreamers as She aims for the moon.
