Crimson

Crimson wears red
Dark as blood, crumpled as dread
She is graceful & rude
In certain moods
Crimson is a shadow of mine
I entertain her from time to time
She plays in the dark
Like the abandoned park
She needs no company
Yet she beckons me
Not the way you imagine
Crimson is Desire’s companion
She bites till there’s pain
Then laughs at the game
Crimson is the color of it
It
Knowing
Burden
Lust
And oh yes…She must
Remind me of the line
The one I so carefully designed
Crimson tugs at my gown
Which is red I’ve found
Crumpled and worn
Blood stained and torn
I feel like a walk
But Crimson will stalk
Is that me
Or she?
