"Before Anyone Even Knew My Name"

I carry within me the flower of hope
As I know what it means to be a flower
I have protected it
From rain and snow
If you raise your eyes
To the hilltop tonight
You will see within the darkness
Not just its starlight glow
But the light from the stars
Which began reaching out to you
Before anyone even knew my name
You have chosen a life of freedom
Stay with your choice
I know the cruelties you face each day
The simple yet agonizing choices you must make
I hear your cries my love
Let me complete my journey to you
My heart is imprisoned by you!!
