A Sky of Opal Jewels

Do you know what I saw today?
A sky of opal jewels
Extraordinary colors
Pastels of shining beauty
Fluid whisps of silver streaks
Clouds of whitest pearls
Baby blues that jumped the sun
Like Monet's sky of swirls
Just when the evening shade came down
The sky deepened to navy
Then tiny illuminescent stars
Appeared in midnight gravy
The night had come and in its wake
A miracle did last
Til day was done and once again
The master's final grasp
Each stroke was like a deep caress
Turning light to grays
Creating contrast with an art
And a night for all our days.

A perfect reminder- we only need to look outside- often.
So much beauty exists all around us.
You are quite the artist to write so well.
