I wrote this poem about 12 years ago. I was going through a very difficult time and I remember praying to GOD for his guidance, I believe this poem was his gift to me..

I turned to GOD,
in a time of need,
and this is what he said.

"Follow your dreams wholeheartedly
but listen to your head.
Don't be afraid to take a chance
though others may complain.
For sometimes the road to happiness,
is fought against the grain.
Don't distance yourself from those you Love,
even if they disagree.
Humble yourself, but still stand strong
and together we'll succeed.
If you sincerely have the faith
and to others you are true .
Then you will see a better life,
and good things will come to you."

 I turned to GOD
in a time of need
and that is what he said.
Now I have the courage to move on,
I have the strength to move ahead.
