The worst sickness of all is greed. Encouraging ALL writers, and to share with others in boldness, to come out from the shadows where the health system has pushed so many families in the nation. Write an editorial, send a letter to your governor, send a letter to the governor in your neighboring states....plummet the health care insurance providers by contesting what they choose not to give back to you after paying so much into the system for health coverage. If you are a business owner, get together in your local circles and call, Call, CALL your legislators on the phone. Fill up their inboxes with letter after letter of your story. Challenge them and threaten them with the citizens right to arrest their activities by not allowing them to represent YOUR district with their pansy attitudes about how your rights are going overseas with jobs that ought to stay here, so you can have benefits that reward you for making them obscenely wealthy.
Whose healthcare is it anyway? Officials can afford to take a stress break when the sessions get too long in their beach condos paid for by YOUR tax dollars. Can you afford to get sick when big business takes money out of your paycheck to pay themselves for getting rich off of the work you do? That's the best example of an illegal pryamid in the world. And the American people just roll over, and ain't playin' dead. They are already dying.
Thank you corporate America. Thank you Congress. Thank you for making us the land of the beggar and the home of the working slave.
The insurance industry is spitting on America. How long will we let them slobber over our health choices for coverage?

see the pretty models
on the tellie,
listen to the hype
that just won't stop;
samples feed addictions
to our bellies,
protection for execs
to stay on top;
we can't afford an aspirin
for these headaches,
a living wage no longer
foots the bill,
is the crisis health
or is it choices?
how much do they suffer
on "The Hill?"

This is so sad/mad to know! As OUR OWN School write it monthly trying to make them see, that WE KNOW! Big Business live off the little people of us, to get ahead/etc..
Great write up Cynth!
Thank you for expressing it honestly and bravely!

Good for you! People have to stop swallowing the hype perpetuated by big business so they can keep their profits at the taxpayer's expense. Keep us posted, C.

Can't afford to get sick, can't afford not to - betwixt a rock and a hard place - tragic. What's worse is Congress and high government officials get better treatment than our Veterans! Grrrrrrr. Know how I feel 'bout that. :)
(((HUGS))) and love, and glad you're okay, Karla. :) |
