Can't succeed worrying about failure and letting fear stop. |

You say,
great or nice poem,
publisher says,
it has no publishing charm.
I say they say,
now what am I going to do zay?
So I was refused,
and my feelings were abused.
Sometimes it's hard
facing the truth,
almost as bad as a
dentist pulling a tooth.
I go to the dentist,
knowing it's going to hurt.
I go back again and flirt,
just like I visit the den spurt.
If I couldn't take a good punch,
when I was a kid,
I'd would have lost my lunch.
I can take a licking,
and keep on ticking.
I have no fear of failure,
failure fears me,
because success is all I see.
Trying and doing is success,
especially if you do your best.
My best is yet to come,
the reason failure sits numb.

It's not failure to be rejected by publishers. The publishing world is so commercial it won't open to creativity and originality...nothing to do with you, dear Gem...now, if you'd go off to Timbuktu and highjack a bus full of nuns..make the TV news and then the talk show circuit...Then your poems would be snatched up and your life turned into a movie. :))
Just write...that's what you do...and we'll read.
