I once heard this preacher say, "I'll preach out of a paper bag if I have to." I feel the same about verse. |

|
I'll verse on a brown paper bag
even scribble on a rag
Then fly it as a flag
I'll verse up in heaven
even write in front of seven eleven
Did anyone mention hell
I'll even verse there as well
Of course it will be for a short spell
running out with the devil hot on my tail
No man rides a perfect trail
I'll verse with no paper or pen
even stay out of the den
I'll verse in my dreams
send poetic signals out on moonbeams
I'll verse walking around in my head
even under the ground when I'm dead
Makes no difference if I'm cremated
from my ashes verse will be initiated
I'll verse about something
or I'll sit and do nothing
I don't even need a poetic site
to verse and write
All I need is my brain and eye
to let my creative imagination fly

| Funny! But how true! Sometimes the poet can be sad or blue. The poet can be dead to the world but still alive on paper and pen. Keep writing funny stuff so we can all enjoy it on the den. Amen! |
