A glimpse of a younger me, having one of those moments that's hard to capture. But that's where poetry rules.

===

Open eyes send signals
to your open mind
in the sharing & learning
in the pursuing of life.

Where it goes -- watch it flee,
where it stays -- watch it grow,
the cryptic touch of thought.
Alter manners -- fit the day,
silent style -- stay the night,
a distant dog barking,
Half as distant as your goal.

Look down upon these cities now,
touch the sky -- feel the fire,
wherever we go we are teachers,
whatever we felt we were friends.
