Club Of Lies

In your words I sense reflections

of pains that linger on..

In your heart I see a man who tries

to make the world think..

nothing is wrong..

In your soul I see a light..

ever so dim..

Wanting to believe that happiness..

can be captured again..

You laugh

but it echoes hollow..

Your  smile

you try hard to fake...

simply an image ..

You want others to embrace

You go on living as if you love the world..

What else can you do?

Show the world that you are human..

Show the world

the sadness you posses.

Show the world

you are no different..

than all the rest..

A pretender among pretenders..

A chameleon at best.

Yes, You have become the great pretender..

You have joined the club of life..

Never let them see you cry..

Never let them see

 open wounds inside...

Welcome great pretender

.. To our club of lies..

What else can we do, it's so hard to trust again...simple and honest in it's stark beauty, Erica.

Dear Erica,
Other than the fact that I had to do a lot of scrolling down (is this just my computer?), I was glad that I made the effort to read this poem. You have a wonderful style and deliver your message effectively. I will enjoy reading more of your work.
Write on... Chanti
