Off Center in the Attic - Over the Top Stories
by Mary Deal

Humor and nonsense, flights of fantasy into other realms, fright, disgust and disappointment, silliness and wonderment, and the sadness of reality and heartache. It’s all..

She Wonders

Written LONG AGO....

Every smile
that she kept..
Every touch she
held back..
Her very soul
under attack..
by her own inability to react
to life..
To look beyond the here and now..
To catch a glimpse of hope ..
somehow,,
To hold it in a secret place..
But she throws hope away
in her haste ..
to escape..
reality.
Time is up..
Remember..
Remember she tried her best..
There was nothing left..
of her heart..
to give.
Now she wonders..
If she had one more chance..
Would she choose
to live.

We all wonder at one time or the other but what we will do if we got a second chance is a question hard to answer, Erica.

Maybe written long ago, but still has the same impact that it should have. A questioning of a fateful decision. Good to see you again, Erica.
