Since You've Been Gone

There have been times in my life when I've been alone,
or at least I've felt that way.
But I never knew the true meaning of lonelines
until you left me here.
Since you've been gone I've cried away the night,
I've slept away the day.
I've searched my mind for understanding,
and I searched my heart for relief.
Since you've been gone I've realized
that life is something that should not be taken for granted.
I've learned there is always time to take a break,
and that no matter how repetative it is,
always say exactly what you think and how you feel.
